Hell Let Loose

Another post that was written and almost never made it to released. I do that with this blog, where I write a lot and never post it for others to read, but I made a promise to myself to post more here, because I know no one will read it.

Today I am going to talk about a game that I have been playing for almost two years now called  "Hell Let Loose" on my PS5. It is a World War II FPS multiplayer World War II game, its squad base so there are classes that have different roles to do and can be done, a lot building weather it be a spawn point for your team or bunkers to defend a point, you can even play in a tank that requires three people to operate it. I started it because I had rewatched Saving Private Ryan, my favorite movie, and wanted a game set at that time, but I did NOT want to play Call of Duty, and my friend talked about it all the time so I gave it a try. Months and months later it was a great time, guess because it was new and I had something consistent to play, met some people in the game that were cool and some that were not, but overall I do love it, but it could be frustrating at times. Playing Officer (Sometimes called Squad Lead) is a fun time but I am not always in the mood to play it, and lot of other players play it and they are not as good, weather it be because they do not know how to build a spawn point (an outpost or garrison), or they do but other team mates do help by playing Support and dropping a box.

The game is hard to learn and takes many hours to master, and lately I found myself sometimes having to "fix" a game by building garrisons, but it also means I have to leave what I am doing like playing Anti-Tank or Engineer (my favorite role) and if I don't stay playing Officer, building garrisons, because the Commander cannot be the only one do it, nor should they be, because they are only one player on the board, it is a team effort, but I find myself drained because you do it enough you get not only bored but mad because no one will do it, and some times, lower level player expect the high level players to play such roles. I used to play Commander a lot, I found it fun to play because it can feel good to command an army, to lead it to victory, to think of the game like an RTS game, it is a good time when things are good but everyone expects the Commander to do everything, build every garrison and maybe even a have foresight, on how to win but sometimes it is not possible, which leads to my main point.

Solar Radio Wave Tribute Podcast: EP1 Generation Past

EP1 Generation Past

This is a return of  Solar Radio Wave, but not to the same level as before, I wanted to do a podcast again to keep my skills sharp as possible, plus I want to do something about gaming. The whole thing with SRWT is that it will be an irregular release podcast, and episode will come out when ever, as I am doing things for gundamn.net and mahq.net I don't want to over extend myself on a whole lot of projects. It was nice to work with Chloe and Sam again on a podcast, like the old days.

There really isn't much to this podcast, I was with some gamingunion.net friends, and we (or at least me) just could not stop talking about Ubisoft's Watch Dogs, this was recorded while E3 2012 was going, and just chatting on Skype, I was thinking it would be could to get this sound while I can.

TSF: Dawn 1 The Hunter Picks

Well here is the one I say I would do for Hunter. This one is a new one on all fronts, it is the second part to Flare 2, but at the same time its not. This is where Hunter, the guy who could not join us for EP2, gets to put out his RPG picks, this was a simple ep to do as it was all about Hunter. The only different thing about this podcast, is that it's not a "Flare" ep, in other words, a numbered episode, I didn't want to number it "Flare 5" as that would have cut into my episode limit, so I wanted a special ep for things not part of my Flare numbers. So went with Dawn as it relates to the sun, solar theme, we have with this podcast.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (Opening)

It’s been awhile since I did a new post. I have been replaying an old RPG on the PS2, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, for the longest time I didn't want to replay the game after my first playthrough of the game; because the game’s difficulty goes way up after the first disk. But I have thought that I should start again, and then I remember what I love about the game was that it has a great opening.

Your main character Fayt Leingod (Yes that’s his real name) is your simple everyday college kid, on vacation with his family and friend just relaxing; before the planet that they are on gets attacked, and Fayt and his friend Sophia Esteed end up running away to the underground safely bunker, but sadly leavening behind the Leingod family in the rush. That is only the first haft an hour of the game, the opening started on a very calm note and the music helps, when you first take control of Fayt when it plays a very beautiful vocal song called, The Little Bird by Misia, and it engages you into a safe calm world, then the mood changes to a very tense and dangerous escape for safety.

The story moves very quickly and the thing that gets you is the mood once you escape, the bunker is cold and dark, there is a lot the people who are in the bunker; who you may have talk to before, are worried about what is going to happen to them and wonder what is going on above on the surface.

Overall for an opening to the game, it is very engaging and makes you want to know what is going to happen in the story yourself, with likable characters I was able to fall in love with the game again. I am going move forward with the story and relive the wonderful world Star Ocean again.
