Revival of a Blog

Its been a really long time since I made a post of this blog, but here I am to post something.

So the question of why have I returned to this blog is complicated, but in the interest of keeping it simple, I just wanted to make sure I had a personal space, in case something happened to my Twitter, which is my main place of interacting or blogging. I highly doubt I would leave Twitter, unless something really bad came about, because of that freakshow known as Elon Musk, in which case I would need somewhere to post my thoughts. One might wonder, why Blogspot? Why not some other SMS (Social Media Site) like Facebook, Instagram or something like that? Well I have profiles on those sites too, but they have very particular reasons for existing and none are for posting my thoughts really. Instagram is most for pictures, so I am not always in the mood to post pictures, Facebook is there for business and things of that nature, so it just seemed like the right time to bring back my blog, which even though I have lightly maintain the blog, I haven't really done anything of note for it since 2018. 

My goal with my blog, like all things is to post my thoughts, on what I was thinking at that moment. I want to try and post on my blog once every week before I move to a twice a week for the blog, just to ease my way back into posting here and considering I will still be posting on Twitter my thought from my phone, blog will be more building of something more long formed with pictures. I won't be using Photobucket anymore, I kind of used that site because it was a really old tie to my high school years, but something happened to the pictures on my account and so most of the links that I used to my blog pictures are gone. Which meant in the background I had to update the blog to use photos that where directly uploaded to the blog itself, which will be the standard going forward, so if the blog goes down so do the pictures, it will be easier rather than having to manage a whole other site; to direct link a picture just to display on here. 

So I hope to post more in the future and all that. I am not going to link my blog posts to other sites, and there will be times where I will post something, that will be on the blog but only I can see it, an entry that I can write for myself, to just get it out but not share with anyone, but even then I will still make sure to post two public entries on this blog, no matter what, when we get to that point. 

A lot has happen in the time since 2018 when my last post was made, 2019 was my biggest year in YuGiOh since 2006 and getting two new cats of Alex and Blair, 2020 was when the world disaster of COVID-19 happens and enduring a lot of personal loneliness which never went away, 2021 was trying to return to some since of normal but watching United States trying to tear itself apart from traitors, and 2022 was the year of gaming and family stuff that I will not share here. But those are topics for another post, right now I am going to leave at that and say that was a nice return for now to this blog and a good night.
